My Beloved Hometown

Dataran Batu Pahat |
Hello Everyone, here I'm back after a month of adjusting myself to the new environment in my new university, International Medical University, pursuing my studies in foundation there. After more than two months living in Kuala Lumpur, including my time in Unirazak, having my english Preparatory Programme, I really misses the environment of my hometown which is free form the hectic life in the city.
My hometown is in Batu Pahat which is just a small town situated in a rural area in Johor. Even though I was studying in Johor Bahru during my secondary school, I went back to my hometown during holidays to spend time with my family and friends there. The first thing that I am proud of my hometown is the beach or sea there. As I live in village, Kg Parit Jabar, the nearest beach there is Pantai Sungai Lurus. I always went there with my sister to admire the beauty of mother nature. When I am sad or depressed, the calm and relaxing environment there made me feel relieved and happy. Sometimes, I also bring my homework there but most of the time, I would not do it because my sister keeps asking me to take selfies with her.

Wet World Batu Pahat |
There is also a water theme park in my hometown, which is known as Wet World. During the school holidays, I always go there. There was a time when my friends brought me there and we had a very great moments spending time together. I think I have went there for many times; more than 5 times, but I never feel bored going there.

The next thing about my hometown is the Shell Out Station. The price is very reasonable and the food is scrumptious. It is worth to go there. If you or your family want to have party shell out, you can go there or you can contact them to have the seafood at your own house. It is not necessary to go to the restaurant to eat this seafood. This is the uniqueness of this restaurant which is situated in my hometown.

The way of serving the food there which is seafood as the main dish is very unique.
The waiters will cover the table with white plastics first. Then, they will pour the seafood on the table in a row according to the type of seafood. They also provide a bowl of rice beside the row of seafood. I would recommend everyone to go there as I think RM15.90 per person is very worth for the quality food and services that they offer.

BP Mall at night |
BP Mall, Batu Pahat is one of my favourite place. There is MBO there which I usually go to watch movies with my family as the price is very affordable.

There are a lot of things to tell about my hometown. Besides my village, I also went to my grandmother’s house in Kampung Parit Terus to visit her. It is also situated in Batu Pahat, which is just a stones' throw away from my house. But the things that I hate the most when I was there are the mosquitoes and the bad connection of internet.

The primer reason why I really loves my hometown is because I was grown up there beside my beloved family. I was a village girl who spend most of my time playing the boys's stuffs such as rolling in the mud and catching the grasshopper and chicks which a town girl would not do. I do not play dolls. From my childhood experiences, I learn a lot of things about the nature around me.

SMKDBL's Hockey Turf |
The next thing that I want to share about my hometown is the hockey turf. As I am a hockey player, it has been my passion to play hockey and participate in tournament. During the holidays after my SPM examination, I have joined the hockey club in my hometown which is preferably known as Senggarang Hockey Club, SHC. There is a hockey turf in my hometown, so whenever I want to play hockey, I can join the team to play at the turf. By doing so, the skills that I have gained during my secondary school are not being terminated.
To conclude, I am very proud of my hometown. Even though the technology there is not as advanced as in the city, the most important thing for me is the calm environment of my hometown which can make my family and I or everyone who go there happy. I cannot wait to go back to my hometown during my semester break.
